In September 2024, we — Stéphanie and Jon — moved with our two children from Rotterdam to Benitachell on the Costa Blanca. A dream we had for years, but that only became reality when we decided to truly go for it.

It was an amazing step, but also an intense one. NIE numbers, residency, empadronamiento, insurance, school registrations, car import, banking, taxes — the list seemed endless.

Jon grew up in Gandia, on the Spanish east coast. With a Spanish mother and a Dutch father, he moves effortlessly between both cultures.

After his studies, Jon worked for 14 years as a financial and business controller at large companies in the Netherlands. That combination of Spanish cultural knowledge and Dutch financial precision makes him the ideal partner for anyone moving to Spain.

Stéphanie is the organizational heart of Costa Assist. She is structured, has an eye for detail and keeps the overview — even when a lot is happening at once.

She guides clients step by step through complex processes: from collecting documents to planning appointments and monitoring deadlines.
